Playa Blanca Hotel and Resort Panama Playa Blanca Attractions Include the Pipa Beach Bar and Restaurant
When staying at the Playa Blanca Resort, Residence, and Hotel take a run down the beach to Pipa’s Beach Bar and Restaurant. This interesting restaurant is away from the resort scene, has good food, great atmosphere, and is a great adjunct to a beach outing.

When eating at Pipa’s and, for that matter, anywhere along Playa Blanca remember that you are on the Pacific Coast of Panama. Forget the steak! Forget the pork chops! Check out the seafood!

Pipa’s Beach Bar and Restaurant has fish (pescado), clams (almejas), prawns (langostino), lobster (longosto), shrimp (calamari), and occasionally octopus (pulpo). The sauces at Pipa’s are well prepared. On the other hand, if you just want your seafood with one or many slices of lemon, Pipa’s will oblige, just order a la plancha con limones. Drinks are pretty standard, Balboa, Atlas, Panama, Soberana, and the occasional Heineken, although there are cocktails too.

Wear your chanclas (sandals) to Pipa’s Beach Bar and Restaurant, as you will eat on the beach. In fact, wear your swim trunks. Take a change of clothes, lots of sun screen, and enjoy the stretch of Playa Blanca by Pipa’s before you sit down for a great meal with a full view of the Pacific Ocean.

You can rent beach chairs from Pipa’s Beach Bar and Restaurant. Take a dip in the surf. Sit in the shade of a beach umbrella reading you favorite author’s latest novel and let the cares of the world pass you by. Finish up with lobster in garlic sauce and an Atlas and experience paradise on Playa Blanca.

Things to Do at Playa Blanca

The Playa Blanca Resort, Residence, and Hotel Five Phase Project is moving along according to plan.

The first phase, the duplex homes, Penon Condominiums, Puerto Banus Villas and the Playa Blanca Hotel are all up and running. The next phase is under construction and this includes the lagoon, which is meant to be the world’s second largest swimming pool. Also included in this phase are the Founders Condos, Terrazas Tower, Villas, New Villas, Town Center, Town Center Suites, and Ocean Units One and Two.

So, this mega project is moving along quite well.

What can I do for fun now at Playa Blanca Resort, Residence, and Hotel? Come to the Playa Blanca Hotel! For $107 a night enjoy an air-conditioned room, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, or a massage in the spa. If you just want to lounge a bit, watch the multi channel cable TV.

Playa Blanca Hotel is just minutes from the white sandy beach, making it a great walk day or evening. This area is developing into a huge resort complex with enough going on to make any sidewalk superintendent ecstatic.

The food at the restaurants at Playa Blanca Hotel is great and the environment relaxing. This is a great place to get away from the busy scene in Panama City. When you want some activity try the miniature golf.

The beach at Playa Blanca is a great place to walk, especially at low tide. Go out early and watch the pastels of the morning sky before sunrise and watch as the first rays of the sun touch the Pacific. Folks have walked these beaches for five hundred years and seen the same beauty. That is, I suppose, why the sea keeps calling us back.

What is Nearby to Playa Blanca?

The Playa Blanca Resort, Residence, and Hotel project is on Panama’s Pacific Coast, west of Panama City. From this jumping off point there are a number of interesting places to visit and things to do.

The Panama Pacific coast is world famous for sport fishing. Ask the concierge about charters and you may catch a marlin or sailfish. In addition to ocean fishing, some of the charter operators will take you into Panama’s interior to fish for trout in its streams or huge bass in its lakes.

The Panama interior mountains are an eco tourist dream. Rent a car and head up to el Valle. The extinct volcanic caldera is a verdant paradise.

At el Valle you can see some of Panama’s famous and currently endangered golden frogs.

If you come to el Valle on a Sunday, visit the market. There will be handcrafted items for sale at substantially lower prices than at the hotel gift shop. Check out the hand painted wooden bowls or bring home a hammock or basket made in Panama.

Around el Valle are waterfalls. They are most impressive from May to December, which is Panama’s rainy season. Visit El Macho, just five minutes from the center of el Valle.

This beautiful part of Panama has been inhabited long before Columbus, so if you have time, ask about the petroglyphs. This is part of the world that was warm and wonderful during the last ice age!

There are a number of walking tours around el Valle. There are also a number of nice restaurants in town, including the Los Mandarinos and the Orchid Room at the Anton Valley Hotel.
